Together, we are creating a hosted couples retreat experience centered around connection, encouragement, relaxation, and intentional time together.
Michael & Amanda Lindsay
Amanda and Michael Lindsay have been married for 28 years — building a life together filled with love, faith, family, laughter, challenges, growth, and countless memories. As parents and grandparents, they understand how easy it is for the demands of everyday life to take center stage. Between work, family responsibilities, and commitments, quality time together often gets pushed to the bottom of the list.
They've learned that strong marriages aren't built by chance — they're built through intentional time, communication, and choosing each other every day. That's what inspired Anchored in Love. They wanted to create an opportunity for couples to step away from distractions, reconnect, strengthen their relationship, and create lasting memories in a beautiful setting.
Amanda is a travel advisor who loves helping people experience the joy of travel and meaningful experiences. Combining that passion with a heart for encouraging strong marriages made this retreat a natural fit. Whether you've been married a few years or several decades, their hope is that you'll leave feeling refreshed, encouraged, and even more connected to one another.
Jared & Tamera Chapman
Jared and Tamera have been married for 19 years — and they'll give you the honest answer about how they made it this far: it wasn't always smooth sailing (pun intended). For the first six years, divorce wasn't just a thought; it was a regular threat. What changed things wasn't a magic formula. It was faith, personal growth, and the decision to stop trying to fix each other and start working on themselves.
In 2012, they gave their lives to the Lord together — just the two of them, in their bedroom — and their marriage has never been the same. Tamera is a certified life coach, behavioral science professional, and US Army veteran. Jared is a retired US Army veteran and her biggest supporter. Together they coach married couples, bringing real experience — the kind with hard seasons, breakthroughs, laughter, and a whole lot of grace.
Oh, and they once lived together in a 300 sq ft RV for three years. If they can do that and still like each other, they just might know a thing or two about making marriage work. On this cruise, expect honest conversation, practical tools, and games that just might reveal more about your spouse than you bargained for. Come ready to laugh, learn, and leave closer than you arrived.
